Question Stange shutter????

I have a 04 fx4 with the 5.4.

My problem is when I'm cruzing at 1500 rpm my truck shutters or jerks. The rpm's dont change and its worse if the trans is under stress like up hill. It's not throwing a code or turning any waring light on.

I thought it was because it was thrown into park when i was going around 40 down the road but ive replaced the transmission since then because second started slipping. I have no idea what it is and was wondering if anyone else has had this problem.

there's 119604 miles on the truck and around 34000 on the trans. I changed the plugs about a year ago and ive only replaced one coil pack. I've only used the fuel aditive to clean the ingectors (dont really know if that does any thing) and i have a banks monster exhaust

I have sunk the truck but i replaced the trans after that (im on my third trans now) and replaced all the relays that went bad

the Idle Air Control valve has alot to do with the tranny on these things, might be something you'd look at and clean, then try agian.

My trans does this too. I'm on my 2nd one. The first decided to take a dump at 92,000. It's in my garage and I have yet to tear it up but from what I've read the clutch packs in these rigs are incredibly weak. When the first trans was acting up it was usually between 40-50mph. It would seem to be confused if it wanted to be in 3rd or OD. I thought it was my Edge programmer but when I returned to stock it had the same issue. I just put the "new"(junkyard 37,000miles) trans in about 4 weeks ago and had the same issue. Believe it or not I went to Murrays and bought a little tube called Dr. Trans Shudder Eliminator. It's a friction modifyer. I DO NOT BELIEVE THINGS I READ ON LABELS but for $7 it was worth a try. I AM NOT JOKING. this crap fixed my issue. My trans will now hold 3rd or immediately upshift.
