Default stacking blocks?

I have a 08 f150 4x4 and am planning on getting a 2.5 in leveling kit that comes with rear shocks and a 1 inch block. Is it ok to stack the 1 inch block on the factory 2 inch block?

If you're going to stack them, have them welded together so there's no chance of them popping out.

Only makes sense to fasten the two together.

I called rough country directly and they assured me that is was sate to put the 1 inch block on the factory 2 inch block, and that they haven't heard any problems before. But still im hearing alot of negative things about doing that, so im leaning more towards getting the shocks seperate and picking up a 3 in block from autozone. Just out of curiosity has anybody personally had a bad experience stacking or know anyone that has?

I have personally seen lifted trucks with blocks that were working their way around between the u bolts. They were still in their but they definately move. I just wouldnt feel safe with it but if you got em welded together that would definately work.

Isn't that why they're grooved out? If your bolts are tightened to torque, I can't see any problems. Probably a good idea to check those torques often for the first few thousand miles though!

Don't do it, and don't call the company selling it asking if it's ok. It's the halfassed way of doing it. Just get AALs if you want more rear lift.
