Default Spray-in liner

Howdy y'all. Been poking through this site for a few months. my 2000 just caught on fire (Cruise control recall never got recalled I guess.)

So I got a '06 a few days ago. The bed on my '00 was horrendous, so I thought I would spray a liner into my new one. Didn't think I'd need a second loan for it. I got quoted for $650 out the door (after $100 off) for a basic Rhino. 5.5' bed, under the rails.

Is it just me, or is that redic? I asked for quotes from Syracuse (Nearest Line-X place) But I'd rather now drive 3 hours round trip to get a spray in. We'll see how much they want.

So, anyone get sprayed recently, and if so how much was it?

Also, anyone know of anther place I missed around Binghamton? Southern NY, Northern PA?

On another note.. I haven't looked under the drop-in yet. If it's really bad, might getting a spray-in be a problem? Might just have to let this one rot out, and see about getting a newer truck next time i'm due for an upgrade.

Thanks for any input!

Bonus question: (Might as well say I'm a truck noob right now, as you're about to figure it out) Hopefully while I'm looking around I'll find this before someone has to answer my stupid question. How can I tell if I have the spark-plugs of death? It's a 5.4, about to hit 98K.

I don't remember the exact price but I paid about $620 for Line-X with X-tra added. Regular Line-X was about $420 or so, and to have X-tra added was another $150. Well worth the money and no regrets getting it done. It's guaranteed not to fade and if it gets damaged, they re-do it for free.

I've seen alot of trucks with regular sprayed in liners and they look like crap when they're faded.

Default Yeah

Just got done running through your mod thread, Tuna. Too sexy for me. Can't have my truck be prettier than I am. Haha. Very nice job.

Yeah I think I'll call the place in 'Cuse and make a Saturday out of it. Seems like everyone around here really prefers line-x to rhino anyway.

I had mine done at rhino liner for $350. Line-x wanted twice as much and it doesn't look as good.

Line-X has all the military contracts...and I think it looks better than Rhino. More fine texture and uniform.

You can always get the DIY Herculiner or similar product for about $100 bucks and 8 hours of work. Get that drop-in out of there soon. I've seen some trucks on here with big rust holes due to the drop-ins. I'm still debating on Line-x, rhino or DIY.

I seem to only hear bad things about the DIY solutions. I guess I can pay the 650 if I need to... I think I'll try to talk 'em down.

Just wanted to make sure they were screwing me.
