Stick with motor craft plugs

Stay away from anything that isn't motor craft

X2 on Motorcraft, but you will get some Champion fanboys with their Accel coils posting up.

Sticking with motorcraft seems to be the general consensus with these. I have read of others using Champion, Brisk (sp?), and E3 since they are one piece plugs and not having problems. I've been digging through all sorts of threads and other forums the last few days. Just ordered my plugs today off amazon. Motorcraft SP515 for $82 and free two day shipping. Also ordered new COP boots, figured might as well have those changed also.

Unless you experience a major mis-fire after the plug change or have over 200K, just replace the boots and springs on your existing COP's. Cost is $32 a set of 8.

That's what I'm doing, ordered the plugs and boots/springs. I paid a bit more for the boots though, but I stuck with motorcraft on those too.

Cool, I have always used BWD on the boots and springs. Here is a tip, cut a paper type fingernail file in half long ways and file down the copper contact inside the coils "nipple". I use this method and have ran original COP's for over 175K and never replaced one.

Awesome, I think I read something about that too. I'll have to keep that in mind. I wasn't real sure which boots/springs were good quality so I figured I'd stick with the motorcraft.

I try and share that whenever I can, if it works, then it saves someone major coin over replacing 8 coils at $30-80 each!

I have used NGK plugs for years without any issues, in fact I just did the first plug and boot change on my 06 with 275,000 KM. and its running perfectly (aside from bad u joints )
