Unhappy Soaked Passenger floor problem

Recently, while washing my beloved truck, i lifted out the tough floor mat to find the underside of it very wet and the carpet was also wet but it also just felt damp. Tried a few days of letting it dry and hardly any luck. This leads me to today. Trying to avoid dealership costs, I tried to find the source of this water/dampness. Start to disassemble the plastic pieces around the fuse box and immediately start to see some signs of moisture. I begin to take up the plastic cover over the bundle of wires along the floor of the truck right as you step in, and i find rust and puddles... Ugh. I peel back the carpet to find even more water, rust, and more water. When I peeled back the carpet water just seemed to get squeezed out of the padding under the carpet. Ive got a serious problem and not enough experience to figure it out... Trip to the dealer tomorrow morning is in order.. Any help?? pics are attached

Had the exact same thing on mine except on the driver's side. Third brake light was leaking and running down the pillar and into the channel. I replaced the light and drilled a couple small holes in the channel to help drain the water. No problems since then.

Been leaking quite awhile.. possibly from either your third brake and running down or A/C drain clogged

Thats what I've been reading just about everywhere. Im not 100% sure about what the dealer will tell me. Ive done a lot of the leg work and found where it was going to. Im hoping that nothing else is wet inside the truck.

My passanger floor has been wet and I haven't spilled anything to make it wet. So what people are saying is it's my third brake light?
And not my Ac because it drips like normal.

I had this weather tube pop out of my A-pillar on the passenger side a while back which soaked my carpet.

If you have a moonroof, it could also be the problem

^^ That's not a rain tube; its the door wiring tube. If water is draining from it, you have some severe troubles, as the wiring in that tube runs from the inner cab, and water entering from the cab into this rubber tube is next to impossible.

There are other ways that water can drain into the lower sill door channel. One documented way is the rubber grommet behind the battery if the water is mostly on the passenger side. Water catches in the cowl channel, and if the sides of the cowl channel are clogged with leaves or other debris, the water overflows down the engine firewall and in through the large wiring grommet behind the battery.

Another area that can cause water to enter below the door sill covers on both the driver and passenger side is that the front fender drain area are also clogged with leaves and debris. Open the front doors, and with a metal coat hanger, bend one end into a half inch hook. Wrap a paper towel around it, and use it to clean out the lower front fender area. You will be amazed with how much junk you will pull out of that area.

And last, if the wet spot is at the passenger side, the A/C drain tube could be clogged. There are threads on this section/forum on how to handle that. There's a TSP for the A/C drain tube issue as well.

Rain tube/wiring tube 6 in 1, half dozen in the other. Keeps wires dry, weather & critters out. I went further back in my pics and found the one I took when I discovered the leak. My truck had no ill effects... other than a carpet that took forever to dry!

You got some good places to check for starters, OP. Hopefully you can get it found and dried up.
