here's a really off ball question for you man...

when was the last time you checked your clutch and clutch brake?

yeah i agree you're streched out way way too far, and while the plugs will help bring up efficiency back, that's not really helping the drive line issue.

if anything, i would knock off those big tires and try out some smaller ones just to see if the problem is there or not.

my dad had a 1998 ram reg cab short box ST. thing had a 3.9L man5speed. we slapped 265/85/R16's on it and the tires drove that truck. dad and my brother replaced the stock clutch, for a racing one, and my brother's friend(the tranny mech) tightened the clutch pedal so that we only had to move it an ince before it grabbed and the tires would break traction. as the clutch wore down... the truck balanced out nicely.

while i had 265/75/R16's on my 2002 crewcab dakota with a 4.7L v8... the truck still managed to drive those BFG's with too little of a change to be able to say i noticed it.

Checked the clutch?? I can barely change spark plugs, can't believe I did it alone just now! Lol engine was super rough when I started it up but forgot to latch the air filter cabin, and then all was well. I feel a lot more torque in the lower gears, however didn't get to test it on the freeway at 55+ yet but I will tonight.

well, i just got in from the rain. the dead bugs were pissing me off on the chrome grille, so i grabbed a mr.clean eraser and went at it. after that thing broke down, i grabbed a sponge(yellow) with a green bristle on it intending on only using the sponge. needless to say, when i put it in the bucket to rince it, i grabbed it, (green side down) and started to go at it again. didn't even realize it, went over the passenger hood corner near the grille, the light, and then onto the bumper... where i finally seen it scratching the bumper... i'm so mad right now.

i even asked my gf yesterday if we needed more erasers... "nope!, we've got lots"... all i can say is, there had better be... or someone may sleep outside with the dog tonight.

anyways, i'm gonna try and go surf the net to calm down and find out what you need. as for you, keep working on it man. we're here for ya.

well, it seems to me that if you're gonna check your clutch... you're best to just get it changed, and i would let a tranny shop do that.
