Default Sliding window Leaks

Anyone have a problem with water getting through back sliding window gaskets. Everytime I wash my truck I try to indirectly rinse the soap off and when I go inside the top of the seat is wet, grrr. Anyone have any thoughts besides telling me not to wash my truck

it might not be the window leaking, mine doesn't have back window but i was seeing water streaks inside the back glass after i washed the truck. It was coming from the third brake light. Supposedly many people have had this same issue. Next time you rinse your truck don't point the hose at an upward angle towards the light. It is only two screws holding the light on and it has a gasket but it must not tighten down all the way. I thought about putting some type of bead of silicone on mine. Hope this helps.

It won't suprise me if the rear window is leaking though... Hope not, that means replacing the rear glass...What a PITA.. I would reseal the third brake light with some Ultra Black silicone, after putting a new bulb in so you don't have to take it apart in a week due to a blown bulb or something like that...

Default Rear window

I have had my truck in 2 times for the same thing. there is a bulletin for the rear slider, they say it does not leak under normal conditions. I called the corporate office and they told me the same thing.

put a 3rd brake lamp in it. they are about $35 and take 10 minutes to put it in. i am a technician and i looked for water leaks for months until a ford tech told me to just put the lamp in. fixed 2 leaks, 1 in front of the cab on the passenger floor and 1 in the rear slider instantly. when i took the old lamp out, the gasket was a mess and the new 1(from ford) is about 5x thicker.
