Shock Length's
Ok, I understand that most lift kits retain the stock coil over and just use a spacer to take up the room up front but what length shock do I need in the back? I was leaning towards the Bilstein's or Fox's but cannot see where they will work with a 4" lift? I can see getting a replacement or coil over up front and running it at 0 lift with the spacer but what about the back? Thanks!
I don't know if the Bilstiens will work with a 4" lift but I went from the factory 1.5" to 3" block. I specifically emailed them to ensure I wouldn't stretch the shock too far and they said it's ok at that length. I couldn't tell you on any further, I'm sure some others will jump in

Ditch the spacer and use these in the front...http://www.topguncustomz.com/p-1982-...-4-6-lift.aspx
Use these in the rear... http://www.topguncustomz.com/p-2002-...-3-4-lift.aspx

Currently I have a 2" spacer that I understand I could get rid of and use an adjustable coil over? But when I get the 4" lift kit, it uses a 4" spacer and reuses the stock coil over or the new coil over I buy, but it doesn't have to be a longer length, just the rear shocks will need to be longer? correct? And how long of shock do I need in the back for a 4" lift?
Also, why do some 4" kits show 2", 3" and 4" blocks? wouldn"t they all be the same to get 4" lift?
