Default Shimmy

My 04 Lariat has always had a slight shimmy in the steering wheel and when you are right at 70mph it is a bit worse. I figured maybe unbalanced tires but new tires and an alignment with the shimmy getting no better. Any ideas about what it is.

Interesting I noticed something similar to this as well in 2007 HD F150. I was checking up on recalls for my brothers G6, and checked mine out for ****s and grins, and it looks like there was a recall for the front suspension in regards to vibrations at highway speeds, it showed up for my 07 and I ran 04 and it was there as well. Here is the link...

http://www.aboutautomobile.com/tsb/2004/FORD/F-150 (see item number 7)

Then go here http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/pr.../tsbsearch.cfm and put in the NHTSA number which is 10022160

And it is listed as a recall, so you could see the dealer and maybe have this issue addressed and fixed for free.

Thanks HD guesss I will be taking it to the dealership when we get back from vacation. Then I won't have to hear my wife telling me Toyota is better than Ford.

There was a major front axle issue when the new truck came out. There should be a recall on this or your dealer should know about the issue.
