Default Seafoam

I've got an 06 xlt with 156000 miles on it, how important would it be to seafoam the engine?

Never heard of doing that. My 06 has 133k, so if the benefits are there I may also do it

Also how long did you let it sit? That makes a difference as well

If you get sea foam deep creep and spray it into the PCV port on the throttle body and the PCV itself, you should have better results... The booster method on these trucks doesn't work very well from my experience... The butterfly plates on the intake runners prevent it from hitting all cylinders evenly through the booster.

If you have an assistant and you rev it up past 2000 RPMs you will be able to open those plates and allow the sea foam to creep in. This applies to the booster method...

The throttle body PCV port method will clean the throttle body, PCV port, and the PCV itself...

In both cases shut the truck down immediately, and let it sit for up to an hour....

Since I have a volant CAI I usually remove the MAF while doing the throttle body method and clean that at the same time...

Is that the line coming off the intake? On the left looking from the front of the truck
