Seafoam
Have never done seafoam but have heard good things about it. I have looked around a little and it seems like after doin seafoam i need to change my oil and replace my plugs. Is this right? Changing the oil is no big deal but I just changed my plugs like 7000 miles ago and dont really want to do it again. I saw that there is like 3 or 4 different places to put it, can Is there anywhere i can run it and not mess with the plugs? Or should I just not do the seafoam at all?
It's a cleaning agent that SUPPOSEDLY will de-carbonize your engine and destroy buildup... Does it work, I'm not really sure. Honestly though you don't wanna hydrolock your engine by pouring this stuff into the crankcase. I don't advise it, but do what you wanna do. You don't have to change your plugs, but the oil is an absolute must. Its said that the plugs may fowl up if you use this stuff.

If you are looking for a fuel system cleaner get the techron additive or the gumout with regane. Seafoam works great on your lawnmower that doesn't have o2 sensors and catalytic converters. I wouldn't put seafoam in your truck, but that's just me.
Seafoam wont hurt your vehicle at all. Put it in the vacuum lines, oil, and gas tank. It really works well. My dad and grandparents both used it in their cars recently. Cleaned it out very well, and hasnt hurt a thing. My truck has a little better acceleration since I used it. My truck is an 05 so it has sensors, but it will not hurt the sensors.

You have to worry about hydrolocking your engine during a rain storm more than you do seafoam. Its combustible. The whole purpose of pouring into the vacuum lines fast enough to kill the engine is so that it gets EVERYWHERE in your cylinder, let it sit, start it up and enjoy the show. The only time oil NEEDS to be changed is when you put it in your oil directly, although after a good dose it wouldnt hurt to change it. As for the OP. Do it. Youll be surprised what it does. Probably gave me back about 5 HP.
Even considering an engine could hydrolock by something that hasn't been actually proven to fix carbon buildup is stupid to use IN MY OPINION. Like I said though do what you want to, but I know I won't use this. I just change my oil when I should to prevent any problems.

Do you actually think a fluid that is burned and exits out out the exhaust as a gas means it's working? Do you really think thats carbon exiting out the pipe or just the fluid that you poured into the engine?
