My preferred SNAKE OIL is Marvel Mystery Oil.
Many years ago when sticky hydraulic lifters were a common issue, a little Marvel in the crankcase made them quiet immediately.
Marvel was the preferred clean up treatment for fuel powered model engines. Took away all of the carbon and nitro that would wreak havoc with the bearings.
Now I just pour 8 ounces in the fuel tank now and then for some extra cleaning and lubrication.
Like any of the additives, there are many claims pro and con on YouTube.
It's been around since 1923.
