Default scrapyard e-fan

So I don't know anything about autos, but I want to put an e-fan in my 2006. I have seen that you can take the fans out of a Taurus. What years are good?

How much do I need to take? Would hate to miss an adapter or something. (Pictures would be nice.)Hopefully this can be answered over the forum.. but I'm guessing it can't. Worth a shot, eh?

Thanks for looking!

you want one with a 3.8 it has a 16" blade, the 3.0 has a 15" blade but honestly i would look for a lincoln mark viii they have an 18" blade and is the best electric fan you can get. the taurus fan is easier to wire since you can just hook them up to a switch for the 2 speeds (or up to a thermostat), the mark 8 fan needs either a special 2 speed controller or make your own (which is what i did).

all you need it the plug that goes into the fan and the fan and shroud itself, so undo the bolts and cut the wires going to it.

we have a taurus fan in our 81 chevy k10 with a 350 and does fine, going up hills we have to flip the high speed on. and i have a mark 8 fan in my f150 works great

Get the Mark VIII fan and a DC Controller. Do a search. I re-posted about this last week in another thread.
