Default Score!! Just bought an Edge Evolution, have ??

Just got an unlocked Edge Evolution with dash pod for $125 off my local CL. The unit is hardly used and set back to stock. First question is what are good adjustments for Level 2? I had an Edge on my 01 5.4 Superduty but have some concerns on the settings for the torque converter locking and unlocking. Any charts you guys ise for adjusting Level 2 are appreciated! After I play around with it, I may go PHP and turn it into a Gryphon.

What engine is in your truck? And what octane fuel are you running?

I have the 4.6 in mine and am running 89 octane fuel. I advanced my timing .5 and set my shift firmness to +10 on all make sure to adjust the tire size and set your gear ratio as these are likely to be off I haven't messed with the lock and unlock as I'm not sure how they work maybe someone will chime in here and help us both out lol

5.4 and will run 87 Octane. I always ran 1.5 plus timing on Level 2 with 87.

I was advised against that but I guess as long as you don't detect detonation your good maybe MGD will chime in here and explain it line he did for me but rule of thumb was .5 for each octane Level you go up so you should be able to run 1.0 advance for 89 octane I choice .5 just to be safe

I will try just .5 each time with 87 Octane. I have read a few posts on lock and unlock #'s, but none are very clear.

He wont respond here, long story.

Back on the subject of torque converter lock/unlock, this thread makes perfect sense:

Met the seller today, his nephew showed up in his place. I looked at the Edge, plugged it in to my truck, it was set at 0, but noticed it had a "dark" spot on the LCD, so he took $25 off. I got the pod with it as well for a total of $100!! Here is the kicker, the lcd must have been hot from being in the sun, because after I got home and plugged it in to the computer to update it, the dark spot was gone!! Cant wait to install it, may be a day or 2 but it updated just fine.
