I just sealed the deal on a brand new Smittybilt Predator that I found on Craigslist......going to pick it up tomorrow afternoon! Craziest part about this whole deal is that I never even saw a Predator until four or five days ago when I was doing a ton of searching for pics and info about bull bars. I was pretty much set on the Aries bull bar, black with the stainless bottom, and the wife said it would be a Christmas present from her to me. Then I saw this pic, I hope you don't mind edwards1687, and that was it!

After dumping the idea of just a bull bar and doing some research on the Predator I find out that they were discontinued a while ago and are pretty much impossible to find, damn....just my luck. Minutes after finding that out I typed it into Craigslist and BAM.....there was one, and only a mere 40 miles away . Brand new, never been installed, and for our generation trucks, I couldn't believe my eyes, and talk about a bargain on the price....I usually only hear about deals like these, never stumble on one for me There are a few minor scratches from being moved around his garage, but definitely no biggie....and I'm thinking about getting it Line-X'd anyway. Pics to follow soon after I pick it up tomorrow.....peace!

Nice! I'm jealous, just did a bull bar and piaa 525 lights on mine to. I've been all over Craigslist myself. Those piaa retail $525 I believe, got them for $200. I was talking to my friend about lifts he said no doubt go Fabtech. Found one next town over still wrapped on the pallet, retail $2900 paid $2000. Hell I even found a mechanic, lift install priced at $1200, he did it for $400. Lol

The ford dealership by my house was going to try and charge me $2500 for parts and labor for a 6" Rough Country lift. I'm just gonna end up buying through Rough Country and having some buddies help me knock it out.

My friends build huge mud trucks with those 60" tires. And no one wanted to help me with my Fabtech. I was going to attempt it, thank god I didn't. The guy on CL was a ford mechanic with lifted jeeps. He had all the power tools and even had to use a torch for a stubborn bolt... I own like 1 power tool lol. So I paid $2400 total for parts and labor. Though I know Fabtech is more expensive, idk what rough country kits go for, but unless you got good faith on your friend. You def want a prof install, could save you from trouble further down the road.

I'm constantly searching, the lift I got like a year ago. I didn't want to pay full price so didn't find the mechanic until maybe 2-3 months ago. And the lights I just found Tuesday. I search 4 parts in CT, 1 in central mass and providence RI. So it could be up to a 90 min drive, but if its a steal it could be worth it.

Great find! These Smittybilt Predator's are nearly nonexistent anymore. Is it a stainless or black model. Just a heads up I had to "refabricate" my mounting brackets on mine because it did not look right, bolted up about two inches high. I believe this is why they quite making them. This is the problem I ran into -

Nothing a some 1/4" plate, a touch, angle grinder and a welder couldn't fix. Post some pictures when you get it! I hope you got a good set of mounting brackets!
