Default Saying adios!

Well guys, the time has come. Chopper is no longer in my possession. The trans started to slip pretty bad, needed new shocks and struts, needed new upper and lower ball joints and tie rod ends. I needed new tires. My gas gauge was still messed up, I needed the rust fixed on my bed. When all was said and done it would have ben $6-8k worth of work.

It was a great truck while it lasted but I found a truck that reminds me of my father-in-laws. He passed in mid July from leukemia, and I want to carry on his love for his truck. Here's the new one. Don't have a name, yet. Any help would be appreciated in that regard.

I think a good name would be "traitor."
I kid, looks like a great truck man.

😂😂😂 thanks, man! I'm really enjoying it so far. It's got the 5.3 EcoTec. I had a BakFlip G2 shipped but they shipped the wrong one, so that's going back. I'm going to do the Bambi mod this weekend. The deer are moving like crazy at night here in IL.

Also, the ride height blows my mind. I feel so damn low to the ground in this. The F150 just had a level on and I feel like it was a 6" lift compare to where I'm at.

Haha luckily it's a GMC 😉. But yeah, I don't have brand loyalty. Whoever had my 5.4 before me beat it to hell. So I figured I'd try something different and my dad never had issues with his GMC.

My leveled 2wd F150 sits higher than my father in laws 4wd Silverado. Both are 08's too. I'm not much higher, but it is higher. He especially noticed when getting into the front passenger seat. He thought mine was a lifted 4wd.

but but but .. those squared fendors... UGH..

seriously grats on the new truck enjoy it and come back when it takes a poop on yah.

honestly though I have been a huge fan of GMC since I was a child.. Only reason I'm here really is a decent deal on a used F150 on Craigslist that made me then start looking for known issues and other things. What keeps me coming back is the Off topic section as those cats down there are fun to chat with, Even Scorge...
