Got all my rust fixed about a month and a half ago. Both cab corners rotted completely through, gas filler area was rusted all around the lip, probably a 2ft section on each side of the rocker panels below the doors had to be cut out and patched also. Ended up costing me just shy of $2,400 when all was said and done.

The worst part about the whole thing was that I called Ford to let them know that the cab corner rust was something that they should look into and what they said pissed me off to no end. Their response when I pointed out that a simple google search for F150 cab corner rust returned numerous results all with the same issue - "Sorry, the internet is unreliable, we've never heard of any issues with rusting cab corners". I about lost my mind on the phone. lol

 

Just remember, they're the same ones who see nothing wrong with the poorly designed heads & spark plugs! And if it helps any, the Chevys rot out worse than the Fords it seems!!

 

Living in the rust belt, it is not a matter of IF it will rust/rot, but WHEN. It does seem to happen to many Fords however I have an 04 with no rot on the panel. Every vehicle has some flaw like this.
