There's nothing normal about the cab corner rot all the crew cabs seem to get.. It's a full blown production flaw and pretty much the hardest rust repair to do..
I've been quoted $1800 - $3400 to fix it, and every shop says they see this problem all the time...

It's sad to say this, but I'd actually feel lucky if 2 insured cars hit me in a double T bone accident right at the cab corners of my truck .......simultaneously.
These are the sad thoughts Ford has honestly left me with....

I ordered new cab corners from fixmyrust.com. Don't!!! I'll leave it at that. Got a pair from lmc shipped for 110$. I'm going to have my dad weld them in. I'll let you guys know how it goes. We can stop it somehow I'm sure !!

P.S. I'm in Rotterdam too. There's a lot of rust in this town. The town should pay for our repairs for the taxes we pay!!!
Who did you have fix yours?

And this is my truck:

Nothing like living in the rust belt and driving anything! Mine started visually showing the rust 4 months after driving it off the lot! I keep it fairly clean as I can in the winter, keep all the cab rocker holes underneath sealed up. Then every spring I run water through the doors, rockers, front fenders, and the box sides over the wheel wells. The tail light area really is a poor design flaw for holding the crap! I'm sure the first panel rot through isn't far away! You just can't win, all you can do is slow it down....
