Default Rust Treatment?

I found a place that says they can do some rust treatment/prevention on my truck. Truck is in excellent shape minus the frame has surface rust and some frame cross members are starting to flake from rust. Frame is still solid though.

The place can do the following as recommended:
1)powerwash and salt/brine clean the undercarriage
2)Wire wheel and brush off all rust areas
3)Add rust inhibitor coating to entire undercarriage
4)Coat with wax based undercoating

He usually does just steps 3/4 on brand new cars.

Since the truck is already starting to rust will this really be that beneficial? Of course the guy recommends it.

Yes... once the inhibitor is applied it will stop the corrosion.

I'm in south New Jersey and I don't think I've seen any rustproofing places anywhere around

Just picked it up. Took them over a week to strip off the old gm coating(this was a Tahoe) Wash it. Salt brine wash. And then their coating. I think it came out great. Two quick pictures. I may do the f150 if the engine is still going strong next.
