Default Rough running

I have a 05 f150 4x4 with a 5.4L in it. When driving the truck acts like its misfiring when I hit the throttle. Ive changed plugs, done trans service, fuel filter n ran fuel injector cleaner throw it. There a no codes popping up. Any ideas?

Ok thanks. I guess I'll start chasing vacuum lines to see if I can find one.

That's reaching if you ask me. Would need more info to suggest cam phasers.

If you have done regular maintenance items such as plugs, filters and such I would lean towards a bad COP for misfire issues. Being 05 it could also be a bad injector which 05's are known to have. Ford has issued extended warranties relating to bad injectors.

Ok I'll talk to the dealer about that or see if I can find something online about the warranty. I have 240 000 km on this truck. It's been great up to now.

If it was COP the check light would flash intermittent and a code reader would show misfire and the cylinder affected. The injector is possible but again a major misfire would trip a code.

A major misfire will throw a code but you can still have misfires and not throw a code.

The extended warranty on the injectors is 10 years/100,000 miles. I also have an 05 and I've been looking into them as well
