clean the throttle body, your problem might be alittle more advanced but i do know once you clean your throttle body, idleing becomes a dream

clean the throttlebody as mentioned above, also check the air filter, fuel filter, and oil filter. Clean as much of the intake as you can. Check sparkplugs as mentioned above, as well as the plug wires.

thanks for the help I just put plugs in it about 5000 miles ago i haven't checked the throttle body i will do that and it only has 120000 miles on it and i changed the oil every 5000 miles so the motor is very clean. My mechanic friend is telling me there is alot of play in the crank from front to back and with it being wore so much it's not getting enough oil to cams but this just happened one day not over time and how could a motor be wore out with so few miles on it.

That doesn't sound right to me I would take it somewhere else for a second opinion on that. 120k isn't very many miles for the triton engines. But did you say it's running fine now just rough idle? It. Could but your plugs with all the miss fires it could of fouled a few of your plugs just something to consider.

What kinda plugs? Do plugs other than motorcraft (oem) have to be gap adjusted?
