I have a 2005 F150 FX4 5.4L, I have been noticing that when i put the truck into reverse it takes a couple seconds for it to engage and if i forget to wait and take my foot off the brake to soon it kind of skips. Has anyone ever had this problem or know what kind of issue i am looking at?

 

hmm could be a u joint or maybe the shift linkage is out of adjustment
