Default reverse lights (mounting options)

I am looking into adding LED reverse lights to my truck.

Anyway, I see on here through the search that people usually just mount them under the rear bumper, OR they do a flush mount and cut a hole in the bumper and mount them that way. I am not a fan of either since I think mounting the cubes under the bumper ruins the lines of the truck(2 blocks under the truck out of place), and flush mounting in the bumper also is not my cup of tea.

I was thinking, is there anyone who mounted them where they are not so obvious, like maybe integrated into the side of the trailer hitch? Or maybe, used say a rectangular thin LED light that doesn't stick out like the regular old cube lights?

Thanks.

I have been thinking the same I was thinking on top of the bed rails near the back so I can see what is behind the tailgate to but a lot of people have back racks and mount them on there. Or I have see people mount them under the bumper in the middle besides the hitch and you really don't notice them because you normally don't look down there because it's just a "hitch" but like you said not a fan of mounting two blobs über with the bumper just looks shirt and you can't take it truck off-road without breaking them.

Rampage LED Tailgate Light Bar

This is what I have, it plugs into the trailer light connector. If you want reverse LEDs to work you have to splice into the reverse light circuit on truck in one of the taillights. It mounts with double stick tape that comes with it. I have had mine on for about 9 months now and it works great.

This doesn't look too bad because they are tucked and slim. I could do something like that. I would probably black out the actual lights if possible to make it less obvious.

Also that light bar under the tailgate, maybe one in all white that is hooked up to the reverse circuit would be OK. That one posted does brake, signals, and reverse. You know of any that is reverse only???? FOUND THIS

Default Flush mounted these today

I just installed these today. Wired them to the center wire of the round trailer plug. Plenty of light now when backing up.

This is what I'm planning to do at some point. This has to be the best way to keep them out of site!

I put some nice LED bulbs in the factory reverse light housing and can see great.

*Note that there was a flood light on the shop over my right shoulder for this pic, so it seems like the halogen is putting more light on the ground. I can assure you that it did nothing of the sort.

Same here, those LED's I found (https://www.f150forum.com/f4/what-di...3/#post4523113) are great. I dispensed with my flushmount cube plan after those LED's.
