Default Reverse lights

Just bought a 04 supercrew fx4 a couple months ago and dident notice that the Reverse lights dont come on any ideas would be grate and i changed the bulbs

Check the fuse. I had an 08 FX4 and it blew this fuse several times.

Just swaped out the fuse and still dosent work

not sure if our truck have them but it could be a sensor for the transmission...ah wtf is it called?


Gear Position Sensor/Transmission Range Sensor / Neutral Safety Switch or something like that...wasnt expensive from what I remember but like i said i dont know if our trucks have them.

Hook a wire tester up To it see if it's getting power and ground. something could eve wrong with the wires.

Look under the truck, drivers side of transmission you will find a connector.
Check the Light Blue/Pink wire (back probe with paperclip or pin) and look for 12V.
If no 12 V check fuse (10a)
if there is power, put truck in reverse and test wire Dark Green/Yellow on the same connector. If there is power you have a bad wire between there and lights. If no power, replace and calibrate transmission switch.
