Default Replacing wheels and tires....

I have a 05 SCrew Fx4. Just put the rough country level on it with AAL and RC 2.2 shocks in the rear.

I want to put MB TKO 18x9 wheels on it with 35 x 12.5 Nitto Trailgrapplers. The wheels have 25 mm offset and a 6" backspacing.

Is this to wide? I've read through the tire fitment sticky and saw that the first thread said for a 9" wheel, you should have 4.5 - 5.5 of backspacing but didn't see any supporting info to this. Any one else have any info for me?

i have 9 inch wheels with 35s on them and a -18mm offset and that is pushing the limit with just a level. if you are going to go with 35s I wouldn't go any more than a -18 offset (-18 or less) stock wheels are -44mm offset i believe. Plus with +25 that's going to stick out a ton. I would not recommend that offset.

I believe you have it backwards stock is +44 if you truly have -18 you are sticking way out and would rub like no other. Im guessing you have +18. He is looking at +25 which would be tucked in 7mm more then you so he should be fine. I have +1mm which sticks out decently on 33's soon to be getting 35's

Op you may rub due to those nittos being actually wider then 12.50 why not look at the 295/70/18 trail andsave some$$ and less chances of rubbing and still have a 35" tire. The 6" bs may have you rub the uca

yeah...97 is right... the 35/12.50 are actually 13.4 wide...295/70 would be 12.4 or so wide and still be 35 tall.

97 and tech.....thanks for the info. TheUca is what I am worried about. I did the math and took some measurements in the well and that was what caught my attention. The wheels and tires are coming in this week so I'll post the outcome, but, I think you will be right.

Default After thought

The reason I want to go with the 35 x 12 is next year I will be putting on either a 4 or a 6 inch lift. Need tires now and don't want to buy 2 sets in12 months. And don't have the spare cash/time for the full lift.

Would a 0mm 5 bs or -12mm 4.5bs only need minimal trimming with the level? I assume those would both aVoid the uca. I ask bc I was also looking at the XD cranks, monsters and rock star 2's

You want to stay close as possible to stock ...so any wheel with a positive offset would be better.. my wheels are +44 and I run 295/65 trail graps...they measure 35/12 no rub what so ever on the UCA...not even close.

What size wheels do you have? That seems like it would be deep.

I was thinking the same thing, Dual. I was going to go with a 295/70 Trail Graps or TrailBlades on a 17x8 with a 5.49" back space and -12mm offset.

Tech, How much rub would I get on my valence?
