Replacing strut and adding more lift help!
Ok here is what I've got going on. I've got an 07 f150 4x4 with the Pro Comp stage 1 6" lift and been having some popping noise going over uneven surfaces. So it's been to two shops ( new lower ball joints, new tie rod end, passenger wheel hub) and a buddy and I just found the culprit. The strut on the passenger side is most likely blown and the bushings on the top are probably gone or in sad shape. I can bounce the truck on that side enough to get it to pop.
So I'm going to be replacing the struts and while I'm doing all that thought about just getting the pro comp pro runner adjustable struts instead of regular struts and doing a 1" level spacer on top of the pro comp spacer to add 2 more inches to the front and an AAL in the rear so later I could clear 37's. Any other issues that I'm not seeing I will run into either on the install or when it comes time to do the alignment. I know one shop mentioned something about cam spacers and not aligning correctly. Also on the rear I've got two blocks and some shims. Not sure if this is normal on the procomp lifts. Any help is appreciated. You guys have been great and I've found some great information from searching other topics.

Ive never heard of the pro runner adjustable struts but they sound good. You could also do the 6" bilstein struts and then add a spacer on top of those to get 8". I wouldnt stack a spacer on top of your 6" pro comp spacer but thats just me. Install shouldnt be a problem. As long as you already extended your brake lines when you installed the 6" you should be fine.
Nice looking truck by the way.

Thank you, its coming along. Well I've ordered the New Pro Comp Pro Runner SS adjustable struts. From what I can tell and They said they are just like the bilsteins and adjust up to 2". Also a plus, got the pair for $210 shipped. So I'll crank them up and throw an AAL in the rear and take it in for an alignment and see how it turns out. I'll take plenty of measurements to see what the total lift ends up being!
Yeah I really haven't seem to much feedback on them, just thought i'd give them a shot. So lets hope UPS gets them here by the first of the week and I'll get them on. Ready to take the truck up a couple more inches and the ride will be a huge difference from what I'm dealing with now.
I've got the front figured out and now I just need some input on the best way to level the rear out to match the additional lift in the front. It looks like I've got a total of 5.5" of blocks and shims in now ( a 2.5", 2", and 1" of shims) and I've measured from the ground to top of fender wheel gap. The front is up right at an inch from the rear. So at this point my plans were to just put in a 2"AAL and is all that junk fine or should it be replaced by like a 5" block which I could pick up pretty easy here locally and the shim. Just want to get it all leveled out and looking right before it gets aligned. Feel free to chime in with good ideas or problems.

First off.... Nice truck!
If your truck is a daily driver I would ditch the stacked blocks and shims.
That's a dangerous setup back there. You could potentially spit one of those blocks out if you really abuse it. Especially on the highway.
If I was you I would strongly consider a leaf lift out back or just run a single 5" block with a possible AAL. I would also look into a pan hard bar to help keep that axle located.
As tech rep said, you are gonna get some axle wrap back there.

And 37's are gonna bog down that truck big time if you don't re-gear.
