Default Replacement Transmission Filter

I need some help here figuring out which filter I need. I have a 2007, 5.4,L flex fuel SuperCrew cab F150. I am trying to figure out which transmission I have. I assume I need Motorcraft part # F6AZ-7A098-A for my transmission. Some sites (amazon, Oreilly, etc..), say this is for the 4R70W transmission but I thought that transmission was phased out in 2003. How do I know which filter I need?

Thanks for your help.

Do you have the information plate on the inside of your door jamb? Take the information off of that plate, and look it up in one of the threads in this forum.

I don't see a sticker on the door jamb but there is a sticker on the driver's door. The top half of that sticker has info about the GVWR and GAWR and tire info. The bottom half has the VIN and a bunch of codes that I can't decipher. I am not sure which numbers are pertinent to the transmission.

This may help, perform a search with your VIN.
