Just wrecked my 2005 f150 with a long bed and I'm looking for a replacement. I was wondering if i could fit a different style bed on like 2010 for example. I'm just trying to find something and spend minimum money and was wondering if something like that would work if I came across one. Thanks

Yes it will work. This question comes up every few months. One guy did it and said it was a direct swap other than wiring the tail lights. He posted a few pictures of it after he finished.

 

Yup it will fit.

There is a difference in the body lines but personally I thought it looked good.

Oh ok. Thanks guys. That does look good. The 2010 was just an example. If I didn't get and 11th gen bed then I would go newer if anything. Would I run into any other probably though like trying to find certain parts? Fender flares as one example and anything else?

 

When you get your new bed replaced take off the F150 badge from the tail gate and replace it with a f350 badge. You'll be able to carry more weight?

Fender flares fit 04-14. I have OEM flares off a 2013, they fit my 2007 perfectly.

 

In all honesty, even with the different lines I think it looks great. I would consider doing this swap if my bed was beat to hell!
