Default Replace backup sensors with leds?

Has anyone done this? I could care less for the sensors and I think it would be cool if they had amber or red leds in their place.

If I were doing white leds that would work but I plan on red so prob wire into run/brake leads. Unless I can fit a red and white combo into that spot then run the white to reverse as well. That would be sweet.
