remove the cats?
My new truck i just got came with a single out to duals flowmaster set up.it has a nice rumble but its to mellow for me.so i made an apt with my local shop to make me a true dual strait pipe set up.i thought this truck had four cats like the older f150's but after looking at mine i see that it only has two.but the o2 sensers are still upstream from the cats with no down stream o2 sensers.can i remove the cats or will it cause a cel light? thanks

Removing the cats is Illegal in all 50 states...I doubt the muffler shop will do this for you.

I was going to post a long message with all the issues, legal and otherwise, that this could create, but I'm just going to shorten it a touch.

Slice the back 2 cats off and don't sweat the legality... You will still have the 2 front cats and that won't throw any codes.

It should look like this when it's done and both 02 sensors will be before and immediately after your newly single cat

Bonus: Sell the rear cats to a scrap/recycle yard, I hear they're worth some money.
