Im not for sure if this has been discussed yet or not....but....are the parking lights and brake lights supposed to flash when you lock or unlock the doors via remote?....mine do not...and i know that every other vehicle ive owned has done this.....just making sure i dont have a bad relay somewhere

 

do you mean with the FOB....yes only after dark though...

 

I guess your right.....it does do it only at night....
Is there a way to do it during the day also?

 

I guess you could cover up the sensor to make the truck think it's night...

 

I think some of those functions are programmable through the keypad

 

So upon further inspection, my lights DO NOT flash at night nor during the day....only thing that happens when I hit the lock or unlock button on my key FOB is the cargo light comes on......tell me if I have a relay or something that needs to be fixed

On my 2004 Scab, with the factory keypad and key fobs, the parking lights (and fog lights if the headlight switch is pulled out and set to AUTO) flash anytime I lock the vehicle with the fob or by pressing the 7-8 9-0 buttons on the door. Unlocking the vehicle at night with the fob, turns the headlights/tailights on for 20 seconds or so, but only when its dark outside.

Perhaps the key fob setup you have was added at the dealer or something..
