Default Rear O2 sensor? Help

I've heard about turning off the rear 02 sensors on my 04 f150. Basically my question is if I use my tuner to turn them off will that effect engine longevity/health? Will it cause a lean/rich condition? I know the rear sensors monitor the cats but what happens if I turn them off? I've heard about open and closed loops and I don't know a thing about that. Is it safe to turn them off or no? Lol. Thanks guys. Sorry for the dumb questions. Lol

Im thinking about taking them off for a while. I'll eventually replace the straight pipe with high flow cats. Just curious if the rear 02s will cause long term trouble or not if the cats are gone.

From what I understand, the company's are no longer able to program the tuners to turn off the rear cats. That's what I was told by western motorsports. They are based out of Canada so it might be a Canadian thing??

The O2 sensor behind the cat is used primarily to lesson emissions during decel and has no effect on engine performance, per se. No reason to remove, IMHO.

Could be. Idk. Lol. I think the sct x4 tuner can still turn them off. I could be wrong.

Oh yeah I understand. I might just wind up doing that sparkplug nonfouler trick. I just don't want that stupid check engine light on after the cats get taken off. I appreciate the information!

On some.newer Cars the rear 02 can be used to help prevent overheating the Cat (When PCM sees certain parameters it change AFR to protect Cat). Without a Cat no real reason for it. All it's for is to monitor Cat Performance.
