Default Rear Ended

I was rear ended last Wednesday and left Thursday for Vegas for the weekend with mom, dad, and the girlfriend for her birthday so I haven't had time to get the report or look into any body shop around here. I'm thinking about a stealership with a collision center repairing it, but also have a trusty shop nearby that can do their own estimate and ordering parts. I've got the back up sensors and back up light so I'm worried about that shop doing the wiring and everything. What do ya'll think? Would the wiring of all that be an issue to you? I've still got the warranty and thought that if something went wrong with the repairs and the stealership did it, then it would be covered. What would you do?
Here's the damage:

As you can see my hitch really saved me (the deer ball cover came out undamaged?) My right rear pipe is also pushed down so that will need to be straightened...

make sure the shop uses oem parts and not china crap, specify when the adjuster is there with the body shop, ONLY OEM PARTS ARE GOING ON THIS TRUCK, CORRECT? and when they say yes, say you want that in writing. i have seen some crooks in my day pawn off aftermarket crap for oem parts, oem fit and oem like, are still not oem

the same shop that I'm looking at does their own estimates and turns them in. dealt with them before on another wreck and they did all OEM parts and even got parts for the body kit I have on the mustang (now a going-to-be show car). I trust everything they do body wise, but with all the wiring that needes to be done...what ya'll think? Oh...back in 2007 I was rear ended in the mustang I talked about above after having it for 4 days and this truck lasted 2.5 weeks lol (only accidents I've been in) and from the first wreck in the mustang I've got a ruptured disc in my back...go me.

Damn. Thats really messed up. Same thing happened to my truck, I was like 4 years old, and my dad was driving it and we were rear ended by some drunk in a Ranchero. Luckily only the bumper was scraped up. My dad got $400 for it that was more useful for other things...

Here's the story:
Had some new kids come to church and they walked there. After church, I left and the kids were in the road on the bottom of a hill. Girlfriend and her friend were in front of me and I saw the kids in the road (3 guys in 8th graders...I'm the middle school minister) walking. I had my windows down and slowed down asking them if they needed a ride as I passed. I was still rolling at about 5-7 or so mph and my friend came flying over the hill and slammed into me (we were all going to tacobell lol). Little did I know that the guys lived at the bottom of the hill and my friend didn't see me till it was too late. 3 people from my church nearly hit the kids also prior to that.

X2. It is your right to demand that only OEM parts get used. Insurance companies can suggest other "prefered" repair centers, but you have the right to have it repaired with OEM. As to the wiring, if it's taken to a genuine Ford collision center, they will repair it using Ford parts, which would include wiring harnesses and the like. Do not let the claims adjuster tell you otherwise. Read your policy.
In your case, it wasn't your fault, more reason to demand that the truck be repaired at your choice location, at your convienence.
