Break in??? break in what??? You had a fluid chang in the rear end. There's no break in required, unless perhaps they replaced the clutches (but not at the price you mentioned). Sounds like they are hoping a fluid change quiets your problem, which it hasn't.

Had same issue with mine at 15K miles. Added friction modifier to the fluid in the rear end and it solved the problem. Unfortunately I also ended up getting a new ring and pinion under warranty at 25K miles.

i had the same issue and drained and refilled, and added the friction mod. unfortunately, i still have the same problem sometimes, not all of the time.

I used the 140 weight Mobil 1 and added 5 oz of modifier.

Mine did exactly the same thing last winter. Made an oil change and add 2 bottles of friction modifier. Was still shaking until spring time when the outside temperature was hotter. Did not have any issue with that yet, cold temp is not far so I'm waiting to see what it will do !

I had the same problem with the rear end. I did reaserch online about the modifier. Determined that everyone that went to the dealer the dealer had them change the diff clutches and everyone that just changed the fluid and added the modifier themselves fixed the problem. I decided to change the fluid myself and it got fixed about $70 compared to about $1300. So if you have this rumbling on turns you should invest on changing your fluid first. I used Royal purple 75W-140 which already has the friction modifier in it and added 2 4oz. bottles of the xl-3 modifier and problem fixed after driving about 10 miles.

My '04 Supercrew Lariat did the exact same thing off the showroom floor. Apparently there was a service bulletin and they replaced the clutch packs for me, problem went away. Now that it has 90,000, I have started to feel a little vibration from the rear again.
