Rear-End making noise after driving for awhile
The rear end of my F-150 04' 4x4 is making noise ONLY when I drive about 3+ miles away... I EVEN took it to the shop and they COULD NOT find NOTHING!! They checked and they said "It has to get worse before we can find it..." I mean really?? C'mon!! Again its only when I drive for awhile and use the brakes alot... They can't find nothing AND they even heard the sound... Its like the screaming sound but can find it... If you know please help! Thanks!!

Yep, sounds like a caliper hanging up to me.

***SORRY FOR LATE UPDATE BEEN BUSY...***
I took my truck up to a good mechanic by me... Looked all over the truck can't find nothing... Says "Has to get worse before finding it." That did not set to me very easy. So went online started looking and found out about I.W.E. (Since this is a vacuum operated 4x4.) Replaced the solinode... Did NOTHING! No fix... What should I do now? Still have the issue. Seems to have gotten worse. Can not leave my neighborhood without it making that noise sometimes. Any ideas? I know I can always take it to a Ford Dealership... But don't want to loose $500!

The 4x4 system has nothing to do with the rearend, why are they changing front end parts?
When's the last time the differential was serviced? Were the brakes checked as the others suggested?

noise from the rear and you swap an IWE solenoid.. lol. look at the E-brake on the rear of you truck.. they get corroded and fail to release all the way

I changed the IWE cause I seen read something about it... It looked rough anyways better to change it and that theres been problems with them around 2004- up because of water running off onto it and added the guard over it lol!

EDIT: Could this make that noise when accelerating?
EDIT 2: Could it be the ABS System? The mechanic awhile back unplugged it because it was a $1000 or more to fix... Could that be something making the caliper not work right??
