Default Rear diff leak

Just noticed this today. Is this deserving of attention? Seal hasn't held up? 57k miles.

I know the manuals on our trucks say the rear diff never needs to be changed, but I change mine every 25K. If that were my truck and I noticed what believed to be a bad seal, I'd be draining my diff and resealing this weekend. better safe than sorry.

Sure wouldnt hurt to change the seal and fluid.

Mine needed a pinion seal at 68k so I had the fluid and seal and the differential gasket replaced. Cost me $50+ fluid, seal, gasket and friction modifier to have a friend do it.

Called O'reilly today and would be able to get some Royal Purple 75w-140 for $17.99/quart. Guess that's what I'll go with. Fix it now or later I guess..
