Default Rear diff chattering / grinding noise

I did a search about this and most of the answers i found is related to adding the friction modifier to the differential but want to find out how long will it take before the noise disappear. Here's some history :

My rear axle seal is leaking so i proceed to replace the seal and replace the diff oil with AMSOIL 75W140 and added 2 bottles of some brand name friction modifier. After a while i started to hear the noise, so i got 2 bottles of Ford Friction modifier and the noise seems to have disappeared.

Today the noise came back..i noticed once the truck is warmed up or the rear diff has been driven for a bit, the noise will disappear.

Is there something else wrong or i need to wait for the modifier to work its way in?

help is appreciated.

thx
