Default Rear bumper u-nut: $88?!

Part: 4L3Z-17C886-BB INNER BRACKET U-NUT $88!

So the u-nut that bolts the bumper to the hitch is $88 each, and there are 6 or 8 total. I had to grind mine off since they were rusted out when I removed my bumper.

The T45 bolt itself is $2.37 each. How in the world can a simple u-nut cost $88?!!!

I'm trying to fine a cheap alternative. I know I can find u-nuts for cheap at wal-mart of other hardware stores, but I can't find them sold in a set, or even just torx bolts.

Does anyone know where I can find them? I'd rather just buy them together in a set for bolts that match up to the u-nut rather than by the bolts and then try to scrounge through a bunch at different places to get them to match.

Why not just use a washer and a nylock nut, or a serrated flange nut (commonly known as a whiz-lock)? I just looked under my 05 and they're reasonably accessible.

I guess that's an option. I just have fat hands and guess I'll just need to get a longer extension than what I have, which will still be cheaper than one of those OEM u-nuts.

If you need bolts as well, I'd just use 9/16 US hardware. The OEM appears to be 14mm x 2.0
If you go the US route, use grade 8. The metric equivalent is class 10.9
