Default ready to pull the trigger for hids

Well guys/gals I think I might finally pull the trigger to het hids, but before I do I got some questions first!
1.) I have sonar dual halo/ projectors, and want to open them up and clean them. So how to I open them?
2.) For the hids on the truck I don't want the houseing to melt so I will be getting 35w, which is brighter? 4500,5000, or 6000k?
3.)should I nightshade my tails to match my headlights?
4.)what does hb4 mean, its right under the projectoes
Here are some pictures of my headlights
Thanks in advance, Louis

Also do I need the hid harness, error eliminator, adapter cables, and mounting brackets? Here's the back of the headlight/projector part

Hope this helps, all I know of with those projectors,

1. To open them up just get a torch or something like that to heat up the headlight and there should be tabs or something like that and with the heat you should be able to pop them apart easily. That's how it is with the factory's at least.

2. 35w would be good with the projectors, I run 55w in my factory housings. 6000k they say is like a "true white"

3. Night shades is one of the best things I did to my truck, Im guessing your truck is white from your pic and black tail lights look good on white trucks. IMO

4. HB4 is probably the bulb size I'm guessing. Make sure when you order your kit that you get that. Also check on the bulb and it will say the size.

Hope that helps you man. Be sure to post pics when your done!

I wouldn't use a torch.... Put them in the oven 7 minutes at 200 degrees the tabs will become softer unclip them and pry open. You have to work fast and start in a corner. Contrary to popular belief 4300k is the one that offers the most light output

Thanks for correcting me on that, I just used a small blow torch and worked pretty good for me but the oven makes sense!

I wasn't too sure on that color, I knew that the higher you got the worse the light output was.

I did 55w 5000k. Didn't get the eliminator or mounting bracket.

Take you maybe an hour to hook it up yourself so 50$ seems reasonable
