Rancho RS5000
Has anyone run Rancho RS5000 shocks and struts? And if so what did you think about the ride. I'm trying to decide between the 5000 series and the 9000s. I don't really go off road that much so my 2007 F-150 4X4 spends 90 percent of the time on the road. I've read some differing opinions on the ride quality and stiffness from some of the customer reviews online but you never know if that is real or just the company writing their own reviews. If anyone has any experience with these please let me know. Thanks.
I bought my truck with them already installed, so I couldn't tell you the before and after but the ride quality is good I barely go offroad so I coudln't tell you how it handles offroad. but for drivin on the road they do the job quite well
Thanks for the update. I plan to make a purchase after the holidays. I hope to get enough responses to make an informed decision. I will certainly write my own review if I buy the Ranchos. I appreciate your thoughts.
I like how they tighten the back end up(which I believe is important in a truck) so when I go over bumps my backend doesnt get out of line, also they ride smooth. I wouldn't say they increase any performance but they do make the ride comfortable.

Let me know how those are. It's really down to the 9000 or 5000 for me. Cost is a factor but having the ride is most important. One guy told me that even on the softest setting the 9000 where still too stiff. So I hate to spend the extra $ on the 9000 only to be disappointed with a stiff ride.
I got the 4' ranch lift and had to make the same decision... ended up going with the adjustable ones pretty sure its the 9000xl. I honestly think it rides smoother than the factory suspension now. I had street tires with the factory and now I have 35 in mud tires and a lift with the rancho shocks and I swear it's a smoother ride.
