Default Radio question...

I just got my 05 Lariat Screw and have looked thru the owners manual for the answer but to no avail. I wanted to know if there is a jack or something on the back of the radio for the AUX. I want to plug my iPod or my phone in and listen to my tunes but not sure yet how to do so. The radio is a 6 disc cd changer. I don't want to go taking the dash apart if there isn't any reason to. Any help would be much appreciated.

I've run my ipod thru the aux jack and some tunes sound great and others can barely be heard. I found it to be quite frustrating.

+1, its hard to justify. if you dont mind going from a double din head unit to single, you can get an aftermarket radio with higher watt output then stock for that price that can hook up to an ipod. the higher watts will give a slightly better sound

I just like my factory deck too much to swap it out. To me nothing sounds as good with factory speakers as the factory deck.

I was just hoping that there was a jack that I could plug a double ended male aux cable on the back of the radio. I don't have the jack anywhere else in the cab. I have the aux button but no way, that I know of, to connect an aux device to the radio. Does anyone know how to get an aux device connected to the radio without spending too much $$ ? $100 is more than I want to spend. Thanks.

I have a 2007 Lariat.

There is a Aux Plug on the storage tray on the dash. I plug my I Pod in there using the double ended cable.

Then press the AUX button on the stereo until you see "LINE IN" displayed.

The music then plays thorugh the speakers.

I am not sure about the 2005's,

Hope this is of some help.

Yea, I don't have that jack anywhere on the dash, glove compartment, or on the dash tray. Hoping to run a double ended cable from the back and route it into the glove compartment or something like that. Thanks.

Check out www.crutchfield.com , I have a 2005 SCREW Lariat and I bought an aux adapter that connects to the back and allows me to play my itouch through my speakers while still having the looks of the factory headunit and the thump of the factory sub.
