Hello, I have a 2004 ford f150 5.4l. I am having a couple of problems. My aftermarket radio suddenly stopped working, fuses are good and wiring is all connected, so need help there.
Second is my reverse light. When i turn my illumination lights on for my instrument cluster, my 3rd brake reverse light stays on while in drive.
I have plugged a code reader in and receive no codes, not sure what to do.
Any help is greatly appreciated

when multiple electrical gremlins pop up at once, first steps (IMO) are to:
1) check grounds, especially the one in kick panel near fusebox.
2) think back, what was the last change/mod/fix/aftermarket item messed with before problem started…… double check that work if applicable.
when you roll the dimmer up to light up the cluster and the interior lights, there is a click at the very end which turns on the cargo light on your third brake light. roll it back just a hair and it will go off. as for your head unit.. some come with an internal fuse, check the operating instructions for your model. you can find them online in most cases.
The aftermarket radio and the reverse light problem started at the same time?
I would double check the wiring to the new aftermarket radio
A feedback loop from hooking up the illumination wire of the factory harness to power the radio is common
Your problem sounds a bit strange, but I'd check the wiring behind the radio
That illumination wire (light blue with red stripe) should not be hooked up to anything on the aftermarket radio
There might be another orange with blue illumination wire too
Make sure neither are hooked up
Did you check the fuse on the back of the aftermarket radio? Usually a 10 or 15amp fuse right by the main power harness.
Might be covered by the main harness plastic like zies.....See the little fuse hiding there?
