Default quick wheel question

what is the smallest wheel that will fit on our trucks? i cant help but notice that i need new tires bad and 37" military tires are a dime a dozen here in vegas so they are very tempting. only draw back is they need a 16.5" wheel. i see they make military tires for 20" wheel but they are all 41" and taller. my question is, will a 16.5" diameter wheel fit on our trucks and does anyone make one? preferably black, im tired of cleaning chrome.

i believe 18s, maybe 17s will. our brake calipers are to big. someone correct me if im wrong here, but im pretty darn sure.

**edit, just looked at tirerack.com and looks like 17s are the smallest.

i just found this http://www.modbargains.com/Ultra-Whe...shed-F-150.htm

in the order section you can select 07 as the model year and 16.5 diameter but then below the chart only lists 17 and 18.

any thoughts?

cant find anything googling of anyone running anything under a 17inch. i would go to a wheels shop and see if they have a set of 16.5s with the 6x135 bolt pattern and see if they clear the brake calipers. im not really trusting that site, they may make them, but u might need aftermarket calipers in order to run that small of a wheel.

17" is the smallest you can go. A 16.5" might work being only -.5", but good luck finding one in 6x135.

Technically its only .25”. Yes they are .5 smaller but that's .25 from the center down and another .25 from the center up
