I was thinking of the same setup before but with long tubes but i think the single 3 1/2 will give it a deeper tone.

I just did a Magnaflow DI/DO cat back and dumped it before the rear tire.

I have the Banks Monster cat-back with single outlet and it produces awesome sound. It's never too loud but does have a nice lift-off burble to it

I swapped a cherrybomb glasspack into my 4.6, was kinda quiet at first but in time it got louder. Not "disturb the peace" loud, but nice good tone. Also have an S&B cai.
