Default Question on spark plug removal,

Hello, I have a 04 XLT scab 4.6 2wd. It has 30K on it now. I will be changing out the plugs and boots this weekend. I noticed it looks like I need to remove the power steering bracket? On the drivers side, and what about the fuel rails? They sit right on top of the COP's. Is there a certain way to remove them? pressure wise? Thanks in advance. Also when instilling the new plugs should I use some anti seize lube? and what LB should I torque the new ones in at?

I also have the Motorcraft SP413 plugs. Anyone had any problems with theses?

On my 08 4.6 I just pulled that top bracket off of power steering and I didn't pull the fuel rails, it's just a little tight. Twist and pull coils. I used motorcraft plugs. I am guessing it's the same setup as yours.

My fuel rail is right on top of the COP's. If i get the bolts out. I will not be able to lift them out. So I guess on the 04's the rail has to be moved.

There could be a difference in models. Mine looked the same way, even bought new o rings for fuel injectors, but ended up working them out. I replaced the coils with accel (yeah I know but got them dirt cheap new and carry factory with new boots and springs in toolbox, over 10k so far) and there's at least a 1/4 inch space between coil and rail. Can't remember about the factory coils. I would still try to remove them before pulling rail. Either way it's not that hard to do. Good luck.
Edit- by the way, that was a good deal on your truck, I've seen all your posts about it.

Do you have the 'Heritage' '97-'03/4' or the 2004-2008 11th gen?

Thanks, and you are probably right, ALL the you tube videos show that the fuel rail does not have to come off, but some do suggest to loosen them to help.

Well it's done! Took me 1 hr n 45 min. Changed all 8 plugs, boots, and springs. Only had 30K on them. But they were the originals and 13 years old.
