Default Pump your fuel tank empty quick and easy

If you need to empty your gas tank on your 2004 to 2008 F150 here is an easy way to get it emptied.
All you need is a pair of small jumper wires about the gauge of a paper clip.

First, remove your spare tire. Up above the rear axle on the frame is the fuel pump driver module.

Unplug the black plug. Insert the jumper wires like this.

Disconnect the fuel line connection at the front of the fuel filter. Attach a piece of tubing to the the front output of the filter. I used a piece of tubing long enough so I could stand beside my truck with the tubing running into a catch container for the fuel. Hold the tube into the container and turn the ignition key to the on position.

The pump will run until you turn the key off. I let mine run just until it started spurting some air into the catch container.

Of course normal precautions should be taken when dealing with gasoline. Plenty of ventilation. Oh, and turn off your space heater. 😳

The previous owner said my truck had not been running for 2 years. I sure am glad I decided to get rid of the old gas.

Yeah, I'm expecting some naysayers. But I knew there wasn't much gas in the tank according to the gauge. I ended up with around 4 gallons. And, like I mentioned above, I stopped the pump as soon as it wasn't a full stream just for the well being of my pump.
