2006 f150 door ajar problem
have a 2006 f 150 stx door ajar light goes off and on.want to by pass this
or cut wire to disable it. don't want to tear panel off . is switch located in door
panel. it is a extended cab. when i shut driver door it goes out and then going down road it goes off and on with every bump.really anoying.

The door panel takes all of 5 minutes to take off. Why not try to fix it right? The easy fix may be a bare wire inside the rubber tube running between the body and the door. Common for a wire to get rubbed bare in this area. It does sound more like a door switch or your door just isn't closing. My advice is to buck up and fix it right. I will not advise on just cutting wires LOL.

My 2006 F150 had the door ajar waring. I tried spraying the area with lube to no avail. Although it's pretty easy to remove the driver door panel, it's another story getting at the door ajar sensor. I ended up unplugging the sensor wire because I couldn't get the sensor out. So far the warning is gone and I think I will know if my door is open or closed without the sensor hooked up.
