Default puddle trouble.

Ok its a 04 5.4l and here's what happend came across a small flash flood about 6 inches deep. Made it through fine kinda came as a surprise that it was there. A small chevy car was stuck in the deep part so I came back and pulled the lady out. Mind you the water was below my running boards and not that deep at all.. pulled her out to safety and my truck dies. Turns over fine wants to start even had it idle for a sec then die. I Tried to hit the gas to see if it would and got nothing. So turns over motor was dry besides what some heavy rain got in there but won't run. Maybe a connector on a fuel pump got wet?

Check the driver side fuel thingy under the spare tire? That thing gets corroded and maybe yours was on the way out and got water in it.

The parts guy might look at you a little weird with that one. Fuel pump driver module. Its going to need to be replaced some day, and you have the symptoms of one with moisture in it.

Yes, but make sure it has a spacer that sets it off the rail that it mounts to. Also, they are more expensive. I think around $100, whereas Rockauto.com is $70.

Just ordered one from Amazon...$55 with free shipping. But it sounds like you might need one sooner than the end of next week.
