Talking Project: Power To The Limit Build Thread

I Recently Bid On a 2006 Ford F-150 Lariat 2WD 5.4L V-8 Supercrew 5.5 Styleside VIN# 1FTPW12596FB46821, ? Runs, No Keys, Damage All Over, & Odometer ? Unknown. I Wanted To Buy a Project To Work On But I Need Some Sites To Buy Parts From, I Also Want To Know If It's Ok That You Guys Or Ladies Post Mods Or Anything You Did To Your Truck To Give Me Ideas, I Am a Professional When It Comes To Ford's, I Am Going To Try To Make It One Of The Best F-150's In This Forum And Any Where I Go But Please Say Anything I Should Or Could Do To Make This Better Then a Truck But To Be Officially Called a Truck. I Do Want To Add a Flareside 6.5 Bed & Turn It Into a XLT, I Also Wanted To Turn It From 2WD To 4WD, I Will Add Some Parts From Other Ford F-150 Model's, I Want My Truck To Fit In & Not Make It Look Like a Pimp Mobile Or a Gangsta Styled Truck Since I Did Grown Up There But a Clean Truck To Do Everydays Work, Off-Roading, & Just Having Fun

That truck isn't salvagable given the way the frame is kinked over and actually sheared in the rear.....

Or find another truck and weld half of it on back...

But then you go to the roof pillar... unsalvagable....

Theres gonna be so many hours on a frame rack....

Your a better man then I... I see at least 5 or six other junk trucks needed to be bought here... (one cab, one rear frame section, box, all body panels, bumpers, chrome, metal... all have to be purchased)

Personally.... pull the motor and trans...interior, center console, rear seats and front seats and probably all shes worth....

I hope I didn't rain on a parade but.... I don't see anything of value besides the interior leather and center console and engine/trans.

Everything else is...

Cab is unrepairable....all body panels are kinked to wear they will be replaced vs. repaired... rear frame is beyond repair of a frame rack (it kink sheared)...

your a better man then I all I have to say Good Luck!

Check out Kozal's build thread. He's a moderator who bought a wreck truck and he did outrageous things to it. It looks amazing, could be very helpful to you during this endeavor.

I may be wrong here, but don't you need the longer wheelbase for the 6.5' bed? That would involve getting a longer frame, driveshaft, brake lines, parking brake, wires, and other stuff 8 can't think of.
