Default programming remote entry/start fob

I have a 06 F150 and one of the Ford dealer installed remotes for the remote start system isn't working correctly. When I press the lock button, I hear a clicking sound, but the locks do not engage. I have to use the door mounted lock button to lock the doors. When I press the unlock button on the remote, the horn honks five times quickly but does not unlock the door. I must use a key to unlock the door, but while this gets me in the truck, the truck ingition is not operative. The other remote works fine. Any help would be appreciated!!

in the manual it shows you how to program a new clicker, what you should do is just reprogram the 2 clickers, but you have to do it together, because if you do one, it sets new codes, so the other 1 will not work...try that out and let me know how it works for you. on my friends 05 stang, we had to get a new clicker and we learned you must program all clickers at the same time or else they wont work together...it seems like this should solve the problem...if not then you should try to get a new clicker, they are like 12 bux on ebay, or 55 at the dealers (rip off)...or just get a new alarm and protect your car a bit more...hope this helps u out.

Thanks for the reply, I have tried the directions in the manual and find only one of the remotes is apparently programmable, the other one keeps doing the five horn beeps, etc....I guess I'll try the dealer on the warranty coverage next.

What does your remote look like? Is it the same remotes that came from the factory with your truck, or did remote starter the dealer installed come with new remotes?
